Near Death Experiences

I have always been intrigued by any and all things unexplainable. One of those being Near-Death experiences. I have never experienced one myself but, most people report having some sort of vision, an extreme sense of peacefulness, or traveling through a tunnel that merges with light. Some even say they experienced reuniting with a loved one that has already passed on. There are skeptics that believe these experiences are simply hallucinations due to the brain being traumatized. What is the truth behind these Near-Death experiences? Are they glimpses into another realm, or are they just a medical condition? What do you think?

Screenwriting Is My Drug Of Choice

Try a little creative addiction... Slap that pulsing vein on your arm and jab a few cc's of monologue into it... I write every day, and I enjoy writing more with every day that passes. Screenwriting has become my drug of choice. I am still aspiring to become a" professional screenwriter" which is not any easy task to complete considering that there are thousands of production companies out there who receive dump-truck loads of scripts every month of every year. The writing is the easy part but, no one tells you that you have to be some sort of freak ninja marketing warrior as well. I have spent an excruciating amount of time trying to ge one particular script out there and now I am just waiting for the results. If any one knows someone who knows someone who knows someone's uncle's father's sister's nephew's got a production company please let me know. I am also interested in doing colaberations on other writing projects as well. I am a creative soul and there is nothing I enjoy more in life than having the freedom to artistically express myself and connect with others in that same clear and intelligible manner.

Death By Prescription Drugs

The media directs it's attention to many subjects. However, it fails at doing so in the case of prescription drug deaths. The startling fact that every year in the U.S. alone 160,000 people die from this should have caught their attention by now. Over the past Five years prescription drug deaths have increased a shocking 68%. What does this say about our politicians, drug companies, doctors, and country as a whole? Death by prescription drugs is the second leading unintentional cause of death in the United States. Our country is spending billions on a war that in my opinion is unnecessary. What are we doing to fix our broken and medicated nation? Are we doing anything at all, or is the fact that making billions, even trillions of dollars is more important than the health and well being of our people, of us?

Is Cloned Beef Safe?

The first time cows were cloned was back in "1998". How do we know if we are purchasing cloned beef and is it safe? The National Academy Of Scientists say that there are no real differences between the cloned and natural beef with one exception being that the cloned beef is slightly higher in fat content. Would you knowingly eat beef or drink milk that came from cloned cattle?

I love my weiner dog!

Anyone who has a Dachshund knows that they are" a bread apart". This is Zoe demonstrating one of her many personalities. If you have a weiner dog story to share, or you would just like to share a story about your beloved pet of any kind, please do. And don't forget to include a photo.

"Heath Ledger Dead At 28"

I don't know why we are always so shocked to hear that someone has passed away. It is indeed something that we all must do. No amount of money, power or display of courage can stop it. Maybe the fact that we are so detached from death is one of the reasons most of us take life for granted so much. I would like to pay my respects to Mr. Ledger's family. I offer them my deepest condolences, especially his young daughter who must now grow up with only the memory of her father. He was only Twenty-Eight years old. I greatly appreciate what he did as an artist and as a human being. He will be mourned, but even more so, he will be remembered.
